Resonancias

“Resonancias” is an invitation to explore other ways of perceiving the world. This contemporary art exhibition offers a space for encounter where sensitivity serves as a starting point for building dialogue, presence, and a relationship with the environment.

The exhibition brings together the work of 13 artists whose practices span textile art, installation, performance, audiovisual art, photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, and object art. The works showcase processes of expansion in artistic techniques, in which traditional languages transcend their usual formats to occupy space, engage the body, stimulate listening, and produce perceptual experiences.

This approach engages with theories of the “expanded field” in contemporary art, which view disciplines as structures in flux. In this context, drawing can become an installation, textiles a landscape, sound a sculptural material, and the body a device for knowledge. The works move across media to construct experiences centered on perception and our relationship with the environment.

The exhibition takes as its starting point experiences related to the autism spectrum, understood as different ways of feeling, processing, and relating to the world. Sensitivity, attention, perception, and the relationship with natural phenomena emerge as elements present in the creative processes.

Nature serves as a cross-cutting theme in the exhibition. Water, wind, vegetation, biological cycles, textures, sounds, and material transformations become resources for reflecting on the relationship between the body and the environment. Through them, the exhibition creates a space where perception and creation intersect.

Resonancias seeks to create a space for listening, contemplation, and the recognition of different forms of experience. The works brought together in this edition suggest that art can serve as a tool for translating languages, resonating with sensibilities, and making visible ways of inhabiting the world.
